Farmtech presents the new Superfex series
For more than two decades, Superfex has been a synonym for powerful, robust and usable mid-range spreaders. The new Superfex has been redesigned completely, and shines not only with a new design and exterior, but also with a number of improvements and technological solutions. It has definitely become even more practical, and thus more user-friendly.
Hydraulic floor conveyor
Farmtech is currently launching a 7-ton model of the Superfex 700. Larger Superfex models up to a total weight of 12 tonnes will be available in autumn 2021. The new Superfex is equipped with a powerful floor conveyor and stronger chains 11x31 mm thick, as well as solid strips driven by a hydraulic motor. Thus, this middle class is also ideal for professional use. The floor of the conveyor is made of a 3 mm thick sheet metal with Magnelis® metal coating, which provides for greater durability and excellent corrosion resistance in the toughest working environments. The testing experience is positive in any case, as this material is much more durable than galvanised steel. The lubrication points of the chain conveyor are pulled out and are, therefore, easier to maintain. The speed of the floor conveyor feed can be easily operated from the tractor cabin.
Efficient spreading unit
The new models feature a proven and reliable robust spreading unit from the previous Superfex series in the standard vertical or optionally horizontal version. Sharp sawteeth on the rollers of the vertical spreading unit are made of Hardox® steel, which ensure optimal crushing of the spreading material and can be used on both sides, while being easily replaceable. The spreading disc drive is equipped with a simple overload protection device should the material throughput no longer be possible. The two fastening clamps on the frame provide a simple and user-friendly solution for mounting and dismounting the spreading unit. On the horizontal version of the spreader unit, an LED display has also been added to indicate the height of the hydraulic slurry door. This display is given as an option for the vertical spreader unit.
New: galvanised chassis
In addition to a robust spreading unit and an efficient floor conveyor, the new Superfex stands out due to its modern design. The fully galvanised chassis provides the greatest stability and rigidity, and long-lasting protection against corrosion and mechanical damage. The frame profile has been redesigned completely compared to the old series. It is completely enclosed below, and is also patented due to its innovative design. All pipes, including the drive shaft, are integrated into the frame intelligently, and are, therefore, maximally protected. The closed framework also makes cleaning significantly easier.
Protection of the spreading unit with an attractive design
The outstanding design element is undoubtedly the hydraulic flap door of the spreader, made of high-quality thermoplastic material. This can be cleaned easily, reduces the weight of the spreader significantly, and ensures safety and cleanliness during road transport. Four elegant LED brake lights are integrated in the rear protective flap door, thus protecting against dirt and providing even better visibility and, consequently, increased traffic safety.
Among the novelties that stand out is the new concept of the drawbar. It is always uniform, easy to fasten and universally applicable – meaning that it is flexible or height-adjustable, and suitable as either an upper or lower tractor attachment. On the drawbar, you can choose between a drawbar eye or optional coupling ball. Optionally, you can also opt for steel sideboards, and there are also third extension boards for the transport of light materials, which increased capacity.
By the end of 2021, all Superfex models will be available in versions with a total weight of 7 to 12 tonnes, and you can already get the 700 series from authorised dealers.
