From humble beginnings to today’s globally recognized brand, Farmtech has traveled a seven decades long path marked by innovation and commitment to quality. This year, while celebrating 70 years of existence, we can look with pride at the rich tradition and bright future that we are building with modern transport solutions.

From Tehnostroj to Farmtech

The story of Farmtech begins in 1954 in Ljutomer with the founding of the company Agrotehnika-servis, which was renamed to Tehnostroj in 1963. Initially, the company dealt with the servicing of agricultural machinery and the production of smaller transport and utility vehicles. In the following decades, through hard work and innovation, the company quickly grew into one of the leading manufacturers of agricultural machinery in the former Yugoslavia. The Tehnostroj brand became synonymous with quality and reliability, and its equipment was used by farmers all over the former country. After Slovenia gained its independence, the company became part of the international Komptech group in 1997, which breathed new life into the company and opened up new possibilities for further development.

By transforming into Farmtech and introducing a new brand of the same name, we continued our rich tradition and responded to the challenges of modern agriculture. Today, we are a provider of a comprehensive range of transport solutions, which includes tractor, push-off and flatbed trailers, slurry tankers with systems and spreaders of organic manure. With nearly a quarter of a million delivered machines, we have become a reliable partner to agricultural businesses that appreciate our quality, reliability and innovation. This also places us among the leading European manufacturers in this segment.

The Ljutomer production plant is synonymous with top-quality agricultural machinery. But that’s not all! This plant also produces innovative solutions for environmental technology under the Komptech brand. As part of the global Komptech Group, the world’s leading player in the field of recycling and waste treatment, we are committed to sustainable development. In our two Ljutomer plants, where we employ 400 people, we connect agriculture and environmental technology and create solutions for a better future and a higher quality of life.
