From 20 to 350 hectares

In just over two decades, Vladimir Valenćik from Pivnice, Serbia, has transformed a small family farm into a modern arable farming business. With the support of his family, trusted partners and an unwavering commitment to hard work, he now cultivates around 350 hectares of farmland – while staying true to the values on which his success has been built.

Where the door is always open

In the village of Pivnice, located in Serbia’s Vojvodina region and known for its strong Slovak community and rich agricultural heritage, we are welcomed by the Valenćik family. From the moment you arrive, you can feel the genuine hospitality that makes you feel at home. Here, you are not simply a visitor – you become part of the story.
Vladimir Valenćik began his farming journey as a young man with around 20 hectares of land. Today, his farm has grown to approximately 350 hectares of arable land. Behind these numbers lie years of dedication, countless challenges and carefully considered decisions that have gradually shaped a successful farming business.

From pepper production to arable farming

“Every year is different, but farming teaches you patience,” says Vladimir. Today, his main focus is growing soybeans, maize and sunflowers. In the past, peppers played an important role on the farm, but as the business evolved and market conditions changed, he decided to concentrate entirely on arable farming. Alongside crop production, Vladimir also carries out contract work for neighbouring farms, making reliable and efficient machinery essential to his daily operations.
Every harvest is sold on the open market. Throughout every challenge, his family has stood by his side. Vladimir is convinced that without their support, none of today’s success would have been possible. “When there’s work to be done, I’m here,” he says with quiet sincerity. It is a simple sentence that perfectly reflects his attitude towards farming.

Trust built over the years

Vladimir works with Farmtech through our long-standing partner, Inter Agrar Srbija. He particularly values the professionalism and commitment of the entire team, especially Drago Radulović, with whom he has built a trusted relationship over many years. “When my wife Kristina hears that Drago is coming, she already knows we’ll be buying something,” Vladimir laughs. Behind the joke lies a partnership built on years of mutual trust between the Valenćik family and the Inter Agrar team. Another important part of this story is the long-standing cooperation with Regional Sales Manager Oton Bogdan.
Today, Vladimir operates four ZDK 1800 tandem tipping trailers—two delivered in 2021 and another two in 2025. They play a vital role in transport operations both on his own farm and during contract work. Another key machine in his fleet is the Superfex 1200 manure spreader.

No compromises in the field

When talking about his machinery, Vladimir repeatedly highlights two qualities: robustness and stability. “I don’t know of any competing machine that performs as reliably under conditions like ours,” he says with confidence. “Working on different types of terrain and under demanding conditions, downtime simply isn’t an option. That’s exactly when everything has to work.” For him, reliability goes beyond the machines themselves. Knowing he can also rely on the support of trusted partners whenever needed is equally important. How many transport trips his tipping trailers complete during a season, he no longer knows. “A lot,” he smiles. For Vladimir, however, the numbers are not what matter most. What matters is that the job gets done—reliably and exactly when it needs to.
Although he is highly satisfied with his current machinery and it fully meets his needs today, Vladimir is already thinking a few steps ahead. One of the machines on his future wish list is a new manure spreader—possibly the Ultrafex 1600. But as he says himself, every investment has its right time.

Staying true to what matters

When asked about the future, Vladimir does not talk about major expansion plans or record-breaking ambitions. After more than twenty years of hard work, his greatest goal is to preserve what he has built. He is satisfied with the size of the farm he has developed through his own dedication and wants to continue along the path he knows and enjoys. What matters most to him is being able to keep doing what he loves while ensuring that the farm remains a strong foundation for his family in the years to come.
That is the true essence of his story. It is not simply about hectares, machinery or numbers. It is about commitment, perseverance and the satisfaction that comes from honest work. From a young farmer with just 20 hectares to the owner of a thriving 350-hectare arable farming business, Vladimir’s story proves that the greatest achievements often begin with small steps.
