Slurry Day
On 4 April 2023, Farmtech organised the first “Slurry Day” in Rakičan, Slovenia, in cooperation with the Biotechnical School Rakičan and the Institute of Agriculture and Forestry Murska Sobota.
The event brought together BSR students, invited guests and partners to learn about slurry application trends and guidelines, which are key to efficient and sustainable agriculture. Miha Korošec, Sales Manager at Farmtech, welcomed the participants and introduced the purpose of the event. Boštjan Ferenčak, an expert from the Institute of Agriculture and Forestry in Murska Sobota, presented the legal requirements, possibilities, guidelines and laws in this field and gave an outlook on the future. Uroš Bencak, product manager for slurry technology at Farmtech, presented the range of innovative solutions for slurry technology from Farmtech’s portfolio in more detail.
Besides the theoretical part, the participants were also impressed by the practical part, where they could see Farmtech’s slurry tanks and distribution systems in operation – the steel tanks Supercis 500 with a 5m Hawk system and Supercis 800 with a 9m Eagle system, the tandem tank Ultracis 1200 with a Condor 12.0 system and the 18,000 litre Polycis 1800 polyester tank with 18m Condor system, which attracted the most attention.
The aim of the event was achieved, as Slurry Day attendees were able to gather useful information, practical insights, and make new contacts that they can use in their work. Despite the windy weather, the time afterwards was used to exchange opinions, experiences and good practices and to network. The event was livened up by the unique Slovenian vlogger Klemen Bobnar (@bobnar7).
