Three generations. One shared vision.

The foundations of the farm were laid by Franc Zmazek Senior. What he built with dedication, perseverance and determination is now being successfully carried forward by his son, Franc. Every generation has added something of its own, creating a modern family farm that continues to grow while remaining true to its values.
Today, three generations of the family live and work together. Franc’s brother Marjan, who is employed on the farm, also plays an important role in the day-to-day operation. Whenever work needs to be done, everyone steps in. That is how it has always been, and that is how it remains today.
Pig farming is the farm’s main activity, complemented by arable farming. Wheat, maize and pumpkins are grown across the surrounding fields. There is work to be done throughout the year, and everyone knows exactly where they are needed. On a family farm like this, it is never about who does the most – it is about everyone working towards the same goal.

When experience speaks for itself

It doesn’t take long to notice that Farmtech has been part of the Zmazek family’s story for many years. Their relationship with the brand dates back to the days of Tehnostroj. Three two-axle ZDK trailers are still in regular use today, proving that true quality is measured over years of reliable service. Franc Senior still clearly remembers buying their very first Tehnostroj trailers. “We’ve hauled just about everything with them – and usually more than we probably should have,” he says with a smile. Even after all these years, they remain an indispensable part of the farm.

When the time came for the next investment, the decision was an easy one. The new three-axle D-Line 2400, with a 24-tonne payload and configured precisely to match the farm’s requirements, was the natural next step in their story. Together with Area Sales Manager Oton Bogdan, every detail of the specification was tailored to the way they work. “Once you find something that works, you stick with it,” says Franc Junior with confidence.

The new D-Line 2400 wasn’t chosen simply because of its higher payload. The family was looking for a versatile trailer capable of handling a wide range of transport tasks throughout the year. Its robust construction was only part of the equation. They also valued its straightforward operation, fast three-way tipping, hydraulically operated sideboards, roll-over tarpaulin, auger conveyor and a range of thoughtfully engineered features that help make work faster, easier and more efficient – especially during the busiest periods of the season.

Their ambition has never been to become the biggest. Their goal is to continue the legacy started by Franc Senior and, one day, pass it on to the next generation.
For decades, the Zmazek family’s story has been built on hard work, experience and decisions that have stood the test of time. The new D-Line 2400 is the natural continuation of that story.
