Agricultural Holding Ljutomerčan focused on agriculture and pig farming, has recently made an important investment to enhance their sustainability and efficiency. With 50 years of tradition and vast industry experience, they manage 500 hectares of land and breed 18,000 pigs per year, making them one of the largest agricultural holdings in Slovenia.

Agricultural holding Medveđ, now working in their fourth generation, has become a synonym for production of quality carrots. The story began almost thirty years ago in a small town of Begeč in Serbia, when Janko Medveđ fully dedicated himself and specialized in carrot production. He has been continuing the tradition with his son Duško.

From its establishment in 1992 until today, the family-owned company Zlatiborac d.o.o. from Serbia with the brand of the same name stands on solid foundations and has a long-term vision for development – to offer top-quality meat products that combine tradition, nature and innovation. These foundations were laid by the Stojanović family, which, under the leadership of owner Aleksandar, has been closely associated with Farmtech since its inception.

This year’s Slurry Day in Triesdorf, Germany, took place on 25 May at the local agricultural centre “Landwirtschaftliche Lehranstalten Triesdorf”. The eagerly awaited event once again attracted many visitors from all over Germany, eager to learn about the latest trends and innovations in slurry application.

Dalibor Iličić is a farmer from the Serbian village of Vajska in Vojvodina, whose life revolves around farming. He is skillfully challenging the life of farming on his 100 hectares of land and is extremely successful. He does not believe luck had anything to do with his success. In his opinion, the key to success is hard work, a lot of sacrifice and the right approach, which also includes the use of quality machinery.

The Vešnik family farm is located near Slovenska Bistrica, in the village of Vinarje. All members of the family take an active part in the work of the specialised cattle fattening farm, but it is the young future owner, Tina Vešnik, who stands out, ready to continue the family tradition.

As the year goes into summer, the golden wheat fields give the autonomous province of Vojvodina – which is simply a large area of arable land – a special charm. And in the middle of those fields we find the farm of the Vrebalov family. And quite a few green trailers, all of them transporting “dry gold” along dusty roads.

While visiting Serbia and the Ćalić Agrar farm, we encounter Lazar Ćalić at work – and in his natural environment – in a vast grain field, operating a combine harvester, loading a Durus tipper with wheat.

Young generation farmers Rok Lančič and Simon Černel from the municipality of Sveti Jurij ob Ščavnici (Slovenia) are pig farmers and arable farmers, and they are an example of good agricultural integration practice, as they have been working together for many years to buy modern farm machinery – and successfully.

From the very beginning in 2007, the owner of the company of the same name, Alan Hartman, knew he wanted to operate independently. He specialised in the construction industry, where he has successfully navigated through all challenges and trials for 15 years. Since this year, he has been assisted by a Gravis construction dump tipping trailer.

The centre for energy and agricultural technology at the agricultural colleges in Triesdorf (Germany) organized the traditional Triesdorf slurry day on May 19th.

As part of the QUDAL – QUality meDAL quality survey, which takes place under the auspices of the Swiss organization ICERTIAS, Croatian respondents awarded Farmtech the prestigious title of the highest quality holder for the period 2021/2022.

The family company Bilka-Korant d.o.o. from Ptuj, Slovenia, has been successfully engaged in the planning and landscaping of public and private areas, gardens and the environment for almost 20 years and offers the highest quality services in the field of wood biomass.

We received the first successful certification for compliance with the international quality management systems according to ISO 9001 back in 2003.

In the company Farmtech, which last year for the first time greatly exceeded the limit of EUR 40 million with sales revenues, 1,300 units of machines for agricultural and 210 units of machines for environmental program are produced in two manufacturing plants in Ljutomer.

Miha Korošec becomes the new sales manager at Farmtech. On April 1, 2021, the 40-year-old will succeed Thomas Fössl, who is leaving the company after nine years of service and is looking for a new professional challenge.

In a multi-generation family business located on the edge of Willebadessen-Ikenhausen (Germany), ice cream has been produced on a farm since eight years ago. There are 55 cows in the stables, which produce the raw material for the cold treat.

High up in the north of Germany, in the small, idyllic village of Eitzendorf, you will find the Biolandhof Cordes. Known under the farm name Smüllershof, the farm has existed since at least 1645 and is now managed by the family Cordes in a more biological way.

The Bühlmann family farm is located next to the Swiss military airport Emmen in the canton of Lucerne. The dairy farm cultivates a 56-hectare area and the livestock consists of approximately 70 cows and 500 pigs.

In the extreme northeastern part of Slovenske gorice lies Radgonsko-Kapelske gorice, where the peaks and sloping slopes are planted with quality vines, which, year after year, form the basis for a noble drink.

450,000 visitors – more than 130,000 from outside Germany!

The Žgajnar eco farm in Studenec near Postojna is one of the largest dairy farms in Slovenia. It produces approximately 1.5 million litres of quality milk annually and offers a wide range of dairy products while cultivating 400 hectares of agricultural land.

The Meolic family farm from Bakovci near Murska Sobota (Slovenia) focuses on pig farming and crop production. It is one of the largest farms in the region, as the Meolic family has between 1100 and 1200 pigs in their stable. They also cultivate 220 hectares of arable land.

We have tested the TDK 1500 tandem trailer at the Magna Powertrain Engineering Center Steyr test site in Austria and analysed how it responds in the most extreme conditions – with the aim of assuring continuous quality, durability and safety.

Horvat Farm from Žižki has been one of the pioneers in the intensive testing of Polycis, the new 14,000-litre tank for liquid manure. Today, the primary business of the farm is rearing Red Angus beef cattle.
