1954

The beginning of the story

In Ljutomer, the company Tehnostroj was established, focusing from the very beginning on the development, manufacturing, and sale of transport and utility vehicles for agriculture and construction. Within the first few years, the company gained a reputation as a reliable supplier of high-quality machines.

1980

Growth and expansion

Tehnostroj continued to expand its product range, adapting solutions to meet the needs of everyone from small farmers to large operations. During this period, annual production exceeded 15,000 units, consolidating the company’s position as a key player in the market.

1997

New ownership, new opportunities

The company became part of the Austrian group Komptech, one of the world’s leading suppliers of environmental technology. This acquisition provided access to a wider international network and new development capabilities, further accelerating innovation in agricultural machinery.

1998

The birth of the Farmtech brand

In the domestic Slovenian market and in the countries of the former Yugoslavia, products continued to be sold under the established Tehnostroj brand. In other European markets, however, the new Farmtech brand began to take shape, eventually becoming synonymous with quality and innovation.

2006

New capabilities for greater performance

The foundation stone was laid for a new factory in Ljutomer to produce components for Komptech. This strategic expansion enabled further growth and development of the company.

2013

New strategy, unified brand

Farmtech focused on consolidating its brand and establishing a consistent image across all markets. From then on, all products were marketed exclusively under the Farmtech name, ensuring greater recognition, a stronger connection with customers and a clearer message about the quality and innovation the brand brings. This step marked another milestone in the development of the company and the brand, as Farmtech strengthened its global market presence and confirmed its status as a trusted provider of agricultural machinery.

2015

 New strategic partner

Farmtech gained a new majority owner – the Hirtenberger Group (now Orasis Industries), which acquired a majority stake in Komptech and consequently in Farmtech. This change brought new opportunities for growth and development as a technology driven group, opening doors for further innovation and global expansion. The company remains committed to its vision of providing reliable, sustainable and technologically advanced solutions for modern agriculture.

2017

Expansion of the slurry range

Farmtech added slurry technology to its product portfolio. With this expansion, the company has further strengthened its role as a complete supplier of agricultural machinery, covering all the key processes in modern agricultural transport.

Digitalisation and corporate responsibility at the forefront

Digitalisation became a central part of the company’s strategy, as Farmtech looked for ways to optimise processes, increase efficiency and improve machine connectivity. At the same time, the company emphasised its corporate responsibility – sustainable solutions, reducing environmental impact and supporting communities became key pillars of its operations.
