Construction of the new complex began in November last year and, after the foundation stone was laid in early December, the project was completed in record time – just over six months. The total value of the investment was €4.6 million. The increased production capacity provided by the expansion will allow better productivity and adaptability to larger orders. It is also an excellent way of future-proofing the company. Farmtech’s managing director, Konrad Niderl, expressed his satisfaction with the achievement of this important goal and his conviction that Farmtech is on the right track for its development and the realisation of its goals.

The new facility, which brings 2,600 square meters of modernly equipped production areas, is primarily intended for welding machine frames from the environmental program. This frees up capacity at the second plant in Ljutomer. Niderl adds: “During these times, it is a privilege to be able to invest, expand our capacities and technologically modernize production. We are especially pleased that our owners have shown confidence in our vision and recognized Ljutomer as a key location for our future. This recognition is a reflection of our dedication and hard work over decades.” He did not forget to mention the Farmtech family, which already has 423 members, and which has been an important pillar of the company’s development since the beginning.

During the construction of the new complex, the Farmtech company also placed great emphasis on sustainability and the use of clean and energy-saving technologies, which contributes to the transition to a low-carbon society. The installation of photovoltaics on the roof of the new hall is also planned during fall, which will further contribute to a green future. “As a company, we are oriented towards the future, ready for new challenges and growing in accordance with the strategy of our Komptech group from Austria and the Orasis concern, which enable us to make this progress,” emphasizes Niderl, adding that the importance of a good strategic partnership is a key factor for the company’s achievements.

The main contractor for the construction works was Remont d.d., with many contractors and subcontractors from Pomur also being involved in the project. During of the official opening, Niderl personally thanked all the contractors on the construction site for their correct and exceptional cooperation. “A special thank you also goes to our colleagues who have worked with great energy and motivation from the beginning to the end of the move and have contributed to the successful completion of this project”, Niderl concludes proudly.
